Happy Holidays!

Christmas whisked by fast!

Was an awesome gathering at my place with 7 of us gals and 2 guys!

The usual gang gathered, and this year we had more people like junliang, yew chai and andrew who joined us for the first time!

The only time where all of us sat at a table to eat dinner would be during xmas, the bantering and  chatting among all of us was something very rare..hopefully we can continue the tradition year after year..hehee..

The xmas present exchange was an interesting idea, we brainstormed about it over dinner, and came up with this idea:

Everyone had to DRAW a Christmas tree on a piece of paper.

And we'd take turns to draw from the pool of papers then guess who drew that tree.

It was a tough game, as we never seen how our drawings looked like..probably the only time was in secondary school art lessons?

Started the game around 1130pm on xmas eve, and by the time 9 of us completed the guessing it was 45 mins later!

heheh..great way to keep us entertained..

Food was fantastic, loads of chicken, salad, spaghetti, sushi, dim sum, potato salad with pineapple which not alot of people took a liking to..I felt it was not bad tho..hehe..and there was wine with courtesy of Ronson..

The best dressed prize went to bonez! She put in the most effort, self cut white polka dots on a red polo tee! Plus the handmade minnie mouse ears! We unanimously agreed that the best dressed prize goes to her..Great job bonez!

25th Dec - Xmas day

Was BBQ dinner at home, with relatives and family. Every year the folks would organise xmas gathering at our place, great yummy bbq food, sausages, kebab, chicken wings, squids..etc..

We just bought a bbq pit this year, hopefully there'll be more bbqs to come in the future!

Nice to hang out and do stuffs with family ...though lotsa effort had to be put in to organise those gatherings..

26th Dec - Boxing Day

Bummed around at home in the afternoon, and went to have steamboat with boy's secondary school friends, its at cyril's house!

Lotsa food..beef...chicken..pork..plus the Seaweed which filled half the steamboat..hehee..I like the feeling of everyone sitting at a table and eating together..

I played Wii for the first time, and its super fun!! hehehee..

Well..xmas is like the time of the year where you hang loose..slow down the pace of life..and just celebrate the joy of being with ur close friends and family..and show appreciation to them with presents..things that you  were too busy to do throughout the year..its a great time to do it during this holiday season. After all, christmas only comes once a year..

That's why my favourite holiday has gotta be xmas.

Its also a time to reflect on the things I've done over the 1 year, and see how I can do it better the following year..

I would say this year is the year where I've done the most things, and lived my life to the fullest everyday, its a great feeling to feel that way.

Some of the things I did this year:

Learned hip hop dancing and performed at Chjimes Upper Club

Picked up drumming, and loving every minute of it by drumming everyday

Played more tennis, and look forward to it every week 

Played badminton on the 2nd half of the year

Gatherings with friends more frequently as compared to previous years

Basically..its great to do things that you enjoy..hopefully I can do it more often next year!
