The Truth..
Initially I thought it can't be true..
It must be something else...
Last week...on my business trip to KL..
our KL colleagues treated us to sumptuous lunch dim sum, we sat around the table 10 of us, and happily tucked in to the food.
I picked up a piece and dipped it in the yummy mayoniase, and gobbled it down. "Yummy!" I thought.
Then I saw Hak gao (the translucent colored skin one), and I promptly took a piece and bite half of it, just as I was about to chew it..I suddenly saw...
the orange color thing..soft...so familiar..
PRAWN!!!!
Half of it was already in my mouth, I didn't wanna spit it out onto the plate..thus I ate it.
To my horror, I realised the first thing I ate had PRAWN filling too. It was wrapped around the golden crispy skin.
. . .
The next day..the outer layer of my lips started to swell. Its like sausage lips, except it only happens to at the lip linings. It'll be super red..and swell up.
Usually if I ate too many prawns..the thing would last for 2 weeks or so..and in the past, I always wouldn't know how that happened. Even the doctor couldn't tell me the reason for that..
Normally when the swelling happens..i'd just visit the doctor to get some cream, which happens like 3 times in a year. Excluding the mild swelling..where I'd just endure it.
I've suspected it was prawn that caused the allergic in feb..but didn't really verify it till last week. The accidental eating of prawn.
On the 31st of Dec, I ate so many prawns at marina bay steam boat that my whole lips was swelled for 2 weeks! And I didn't realised it was the evil prawns who did that to me..:(
I am very sad now.
There goes my Salad prawn on the cold dish at wedding dinners.
There goes Manhatten Fish market's seafood platter's delicious prawns(superb!)
There goes Dim Sum
There goes my Hokkien Mee(I used to always eat that during lunch)
There goes my Seafood soup( I used to always eat that during lunch)
And now I'll have 1 less dish to eat at Wedding Dinners(cos there's always prawn)
these are the things I can think of now..I believe there's more..
Prawn has always been a part of my life, cos my fav food is seafood(apart from french fries, ice ceam, lamb, mos burger etc..)
Goodbye Mr Prawn..I'll remember you for your good taste..
